Time with Papa and Cousin CJ

Brayden and his cousin CJ enjoying reading a book with their Papa on Christmas Day. Brayden had so much fun over Christmas - I think he was disappointed when it was all over.

Christmas is over?

Brayden certainly enjoyed all of the Christmas festivities...although it is hard to believe it is all over! I think his favorite thing was playing with his cousins and seeing his grandparents. He liked all the activity that came with the season. One of his favorite things to do during the month of December was to look at baby Jesus, or "de-dus" as Brayden called him and sing "Silent Night" and "Away in the Manger". He was also very determined that our Christmas tree lights and the stable light was on - during all of his waking hours. If it wasn't we heard, " Yights on, Yights on, Yights on!" repeatedly.

Santa visited us on Christmas Eve! Brayden wasn't sure what to think of him... Who is this guy?? Wow....

After all the festivities Brayden enjoyed relaxing with his Grandpa...

Toads and snails and puppy dog tails...

or something like that! It appears that we will have another little boy joining our family in early April. Hard to believe I will be the only girl in our house! Just wait until they are teenagers...
We are excited and thankful and looking forward to meeting the newest addition to our family.

It's a Boy or is it a Girl?? - YOUR VOTE!!

Well friends, as most of you know, we are expecting a baby in early April. On Monday, November 19th we will hopefully learn the sex of our baby. If you'd like to place your bet/vote on the sex of the baby, you can do so here by posting a comment. We will reveal our news on our blog sometime Monday or early Tuesday at the latest!!
For starters, I, Michelle, think it is a boy. Bryan thinks it is a girl. What is your guess?
Oh and for a little incentive, all those that select the right sex will win a free trip to Hawaii.
If you believe me, you really shouldn't play this game.

Flash Back...

A few of my most dedicated readers, okay, my one dedicated reader (Maria) asked why I haven't put any pictures of myself on the blog to date. The reasons are endless really. It may be that I am 5 months pregnant and feeling ever so attractive or it may be because I am usually the one behind the camera. Let's face it moms - it is not as fun to be photographed once you have a little one to photograph. Although I must admit my "Fall Frolic" costume is one that is quite amuzing and worth a post, just for a quick laugh. Bryan and I dressed as a wild and wacky 70's couple. We are pictured above. I am the one on the right. In the bright green dress. I'm not sure who the guy is next to me.

The Rythem is Gonna Getcha...

Our little boy is becoming quite the electronic junky. He loves listening to his daddy's iPod!

Brayden has also been helping mommy work on her blog. Well, not really. It looks like he knows what he is doing though, doesn't it?? He will probably be teaching me a few things within a few years...

Sorry Bambi Lovers...

This is my husband, Bryan with the innocent deer that he shot while they were wandering out for a nice breakfast on the first Saturday of the 2007 deer hunting season. This venture was Bryan's first trip deer hunting and within 45 minutes of his hunting experience he killed two of God's lovely creatures commonly known as the deer. While I must admit I am proud of this feat, I silently mourn their loss of life. I too ventured out with my father at a young age to try deer hunting, one of my father's passions, and I experienced many a tear as I watched my dad hunt down and kill one of Bambi's energetic friends.
My dad was very proud of his young protege! My dad was happy to see Bryan take to this sport so well. Also, they both have informed the rest of us that the 10 point buck will be mounted and hung somewhere as their trophy deer. Preferrably not above the fireplace in our home!
